AI/LLMs AI art bans are going to ruin small 3rd party creators

Isn't it bizarre that so many people, all around the world, have been brain-washed into thinking LLMs are doing something useful, when clearly the results are all garbage and everybody is losing productivity. Thank god there are a handful of people able to recognize the truth!

In fact, this could be the basis of a whole new RPG. You play a random game enthusiast who, thanks to your participation in an echo-chamber online forum about your hobby, are one of the few to be inoculated against a techno-threat to which the rest of the world is blind. Your mission: to insult and disparage the brainwashed masses until they agree with you, thus saving the world.

I am a publisher of games. I am a former computer science student. I have been following the AI story since the mid 1980s, like the Cyc project. I have provided level 3 tech support at a broadband Internet provider. I briefly minored in philosophy, before I had to drop it do to course availability. One of my favorite things to talk about is the sorites paradox (which is very important when trying to relate AI to systems of logic). And yes, I am also a random game enthusiast.

Cool! Around 89-90 I was on a project trying to replicate Lenat's Cyc approach, but within a discrete domain. It didn't really work, but good times.

It isn't bizarre.

It is marketing.

You may not have noticed, but the world is loaded with people who will believe counterfactual claims that fit their desired narratives and/or play on their fears.

"This technology is magic, and will make you super-efficient, and therefore rich, and if you don't jump on board now your competitors will beat you and laugh at you for resisting the inevitable," is a powerful narrative.

Took 90 pages for a Cyc reference. I'm kinda sad.
