U
I think it might seem that way just because they get the most attention. For instance, games like Fever Knights, Dante's Inferno, or Quest for the Lost Pixel that I post about just kind of pass by without notice. As a more popular counterpoint though, I was one of the first here to gush over Shadowdark. Hopefully Hackmaster will be just as popular when more news comes out too. 🤞

Anyways, those are just the threads I started. Trust me when I say I can't shut up about a million other games too.
what is old is what’s new. The more people complain, the more visible things become…despite perhaps intent to the contrary.

Keep talking about games you like! I feel like ENWorld helped me consider shadowdark more seriously…

For what it's worth, I think engagement driving visibility works in everyone's favor. Anyone wanting to learn more about this game will probably find this thread (thanks to being a top Google result), guaranteeing they see the criticisms against the author. I think that's more of a net positive than this thread just not existing for those that want their criticisms to be seen.

I don't know what the guy believes, but everyone has a right to their own beliefs and free speech. The comments above are just toxic and should be deleted for being libel. Hate speech denouncing individuals should not be tolerated on any forums.
he can believe it, and others can not buy his stuff because of that, both are expressing an opinion.

As to ‘hate speech’, I have no idea what was written in this thread, but if Gillespie can express his views, so can others, and with you not knowing what the guy believes, how do you know it is not simply an accurate reflection of that…

I am no fan of actual hate speech, but I am not a fan of jumping to the defense of someone when you do not actually know anything about that someone either

Since you brought up his name though...

I don't know very much about Day (other than what people have posted here) or Hazbin Hotel, but what are the chances of Vox Dei being a parody?

Oops, seeing it's a popular Latin phrase, so probably coincidence...

I'm not sure what you're implying about Vox Day being a "parody" or "coincidence", but it's pretty easy to look up what Day has done in the past. In addition to being an early and eager promoter of GamerGate, Wikipedia has this to say about him.

Maybe you can separate the art from the artist, but as far as I'm concerned, f--- that guy and anyone who is friends with him
