Header in the new version is definitely an improvement. I think I like the text of the original a little better in terms of pure aesthetics but that the new one is a little more readable?

That's pretty much the choice, yeah. A side benefit of moving to sans is that it takes up less vertical space at the same weight so the text gets to breathe a little more.

I think I'll go with this blackletter font instead
