@doctorbadwolf seems Insight Check noticed the same trend
Although it seems to focus on people still riding the "D&D is undermonetized" claim and current D&D Beyond announcements to claim the game will turn into Fortnite
I'm all for creators doing what they like just as I am all for having whatever opinion I want and to voice it wherever I'm allowed to.
As for it "emulating" Boris or Frazetta's art style... If it is the case then it grossly misses the mark.
As @Scribe commented they were going for a certain...
Sorry if it came out that way but I'm not implying dishonesty on her part. I was actually pushing back against the idea that Ginny branched out into "general TTRPG content".
She pretty much does mainly D&D content and from time to time dabbles on other rpgs or more general ttrpg advice like...
I've only casually browsed Ginny's content but unless she's the kind of person who calls every rpg "D&D", 7 out of her last 10 videos put D&D in the title.
It all feels so... juvenile...
Games like Mörk Borg or Outcasts Silver Raiders have the same vibe without being this cringy or sexist...
Here's hoping I can sort my incoming midlife crisis with more grace.
I don't disagree that 5e is bland as it is and that part of my task as a GM is to spice it up myself, but I don't see that as a flaw but a feature. D&D can be a lot of things, and that's fine. Great even.
But yeah, I made the same assesment of PDM. He also went from an unsubscribe to a "do not...
I definitely know who you're talking about.
It's specially rich when the guy is reviewing 3rd party 5e content (which he's clearly paid to review) and is always claiming "this solves 5e", "this rules fixes 5e", and most of the time is just a rule from the 2014 DMG that has been expanded...
I may be mistaken but I recall they changed them when they released the Tal'Dorei campaign setting, which was a third party 5e product because of copyright, and then they kept them as such with Vox Machina.
It may have to do with the context in which you use those names?
I was commenting on Mastering Dungeon's a couple of weeks ago about how I missed 5e's seasons. Making each release "an event" is a great way to build hype and cohere the community.
