Bringing the thread back so it can show up in search. There is Aaron Oliver's unofficial errata at http://RCerrata.redirectme.net

Artists! What graphic tablet do you use?

Wacom works great. I love my Wacom. I only use it for some personal maps (not an artist) but I can speak to the compatibility.

Anyone here know anything about Macs?

You might have a hardware or a software problem. When holding down the keys to reset PRAM, you should see the screen flash between grey and black as long as you hold down the keys. When the screen flashes to grey, you should also hear the startup chime. This is handled by the EFI before the OS...

    iPhone power and headphone cables?

I had a similar setup before. The thing I linked to has two output connections so you can plug them in.

    iPhone power and headphone cables?

There used to be a Belkin one for this for 30-pin devices. The best I can find right now is http://www.sw-box.com/1-2M-8-Pin-Lightning-Sync-Charger-Car-USB-With-3-5mm-AUX-Audio-Cable-For-iPhone-5-iPod-Touch-5.html . The Lightning cable no longer supplies analog audio pins, so the adapter would...

    Advive on Upgrading a desktop

I haven't found games to use that many threads. My quad-core hyper threaded i7 hasn't been fully utilized in the games I have played, but ymmv depending on the games you play. For $1k you will certainly not get a large enough ssd to put much on. But if you can get a big ssd, it is awesome to...

    Advive on Upgrading a desktop

One comment: I say gigE, because some cable providers will already burst over 100Mbps, and if you want to share files between computers, gigE is a lot faster. But if your ISP isn't there and you aren't running a lot on your local network, don't worry about it.

    Art theft & copyright violation?

This is exactly what statutory damages are for. If the copyright is registered before infringement (or within 3 months of publication) plaintiffs can get up to $150k in damages per work. It wouldn't take a lot of those to get Shipman out of business. However, I'm willing to guess that most...

Smartphone help for a complete noob

That's a value, not a fact. I'm sure that you wash your clothing by hand in the river so you don't lose the knack, right?

Smartphone help for a complete noob

Why? (FWIW, even dumb phones have had phonebooks for decades. They just didn't sync.)

Anyone in here know Acroscript, or more accurately Adobe Acrobat's version of Javascript?

I've updated my sample PDF. It now has two document-level javascripts. To edit those, go into Form Edit mode, click Other Tasks, then select Document Javascripts. The first script sets up a global variable with the stat bonuses: global.racialStatMods = {}; global.racialStatMods['Elf'] = {}...
