LotR: Of course. Watch it every year
Back to the Future: So much fun energy
Star Trek: ll to IV The best Trek
Toy Story: The first three are brilliant, funny and touching. Pixar at their best.
Star Wars: Original three. I don't acknowledge the others. 😂
I'm assuming '24 is doing really well. The suits might have been unrealistically expecting a bigger splash, if they gave D&D much thought at all. This might be the reason for the spin.
I play a wide variety. Not overly fond of Barbarians, but a character I made insisted she was a storm Barbarian, so I had a Barbarian for a while.
I think I lean a little toward druids.
In terms of ancestries, I play a mix too. Have a soft spot for frog people. I had a grippli wizard in...
I really enjoy "roll to cast," even if it can get frustrating at times! On the other hand, there are sessions where the caster can't fail and that's fun. My seer went many sessions never failing her spellcast rolls, and then the other shoe dropped. Story wise, it really felt like she got cocky...
This year, been playing Vaesen, Daggerheart, Fabula Ultima, Shadowdark and Brindlewood Bay mostly. Sprinkling of Mappa Mundi, Fate(Star Trek) and Land of Eem.
Waiting impatiently for Dolmenwood. And really need to dive into Dragonbane.
Fate: Very flexible and can use it for variety of genres
Black Sword Hack: There's a lot of game in this slim little volume. Could reflavour it when we don't want Swords and Sorcery
OSR Zines: I'm taking our pile of very flavourful and inspirational zines in lieu of 3rd game. It'd also be easy...
While it's looking like Superman maybe didn't do as well financially as it first seemed, it's a great Superman movie ino my opinion. Superman and Lois feel like who they should be. It's a fun movie and captures the essence of Superman's innate character. A Superman who rescues squirrels, dog...
I think my main problem with Keiko is she's filling the role of "TV wife." This was a common trope in old shows, in particular: The wife has me on a diet. The wife's out of town, so let's have a Poker Night. Wife's upset that I was out too late with the boys. Wife has me sleeping on the couch...
It's cool seeing ROM's development. I love that no character gets neglected on DS9. Well, except for Keiko. Her whole purpose seems to be to get in the way of Miles' playdates with Julian.
I love Wildsea. The lore is flavourful but the game assumes that it'll become the table's game, so no expectations that players must memorize endless detail. I appreciate the mechanics being similiar to PbtA or Forged in the Dark but with a very robust character creation system. The game has...
Looks like I'm joining a DH game as a player. I made a Galapa Seraph, and tempting as it was, I did not go with Winged Sentinel. 😂 Flying turtle just little too Mario.
