Yes, I agree. Having the players ask questions, or getting reminders from Matt how the rules work can be helpful for new players observing the livestream. I like how Matt sometimes lets them know what they can't get away with too!
I've watched very few livestreams but am wondering if the more...
Not going to show mine. 😂 They're scribbled notes by hand in a notebook or fancy leather journal I got for Christmas. They are also surrounded by doodles I made while thinking. The doodles have nothing to do with the game.
I think the myth of Pathfinder beating D&D comes from the excitement Paizo felt vs.the disappointment WotC felt. PF quickly sold out at GenCon, Paizo was thrilled that they could hire back some people they had laid off plus more. Their PF gamble had paid off. They could publish more PF books and...
Draw Steel will be out this summer and will definitely be delivered!
I've been playing in a Daggerheart game and it's a lot of fun. We've been thoroughly enjoying the no set initiative system. Keeps everyone engaged and opens up tactic options. It can be played in a very cooperative narrative...
Daggerheart is a great game but not a D&D killer. I think WotC might see a small sales decline due to a combination of recent games being published, and that could concern Hasbro. That's about it!
I'm seeing traditional players look at how Mercer runs DH and feeling a lot less negative towards the game. I like how mechanically it can run other way. I know that although I enjoy fiction first games, it's nice in DH to just hand out the Hope or take a turn with the fear point if I'm coming...
But I think it well help people unfamiliar with the style feel more comfortable. DH can ease people into fiction first gaming and let them do as much or as little as possible. I'm hoping tables get more comfortable and embrace the style, but it's not necessary.
To me a game is successful if it achieves the designer's or company's goals, even if the goal is just to get the game into the hands of a very small number of happy gamers.
And Highlander(but not 2). This was so common back then. Highlander is great. Love that film. But not the second one. Please, for the love of God, don't think I enjoy the sequel! But, you know, fair. 😂
