After more than six months I've finally reached the end of Colleen McCullough's Rome series, so I'm now reading Homer's Iliad, Fagel's translation.

Wading is a good way of describing it. Does anyone else find it hard to read a rule book that's close to an earlier rule book? I wish there was enough of a difference with 3.5 that I could tell the two apart. Instead it all kinda blurs together...

Sounds a lot like one of my favorite Marvel Comics series from the 1970s - "The Eternals." Its creator, Jack Kirby was also inspired by Chariots of the Gods in the storyline and space-faring race the Celestials.

About to finish "Fortune's Favorites", the third book in Colleen McCullough's Rome series.

I'm in the midst of painting my Han forces. I'm using four to five colors per figure, and then using the Minwax Polyshades dipping method to seal them up. After a couple of months of playing we'll see how well things have held up.

I'm a good way through Colleen McCullough's The Grass Crown, book two of her Masters of Rome series of novels. On the warm-up deck are Pathfinder Core Rulebook and Palmyra and its Empire: Zenobia's Revolt against Rome by Richard Stoneman.
