Looking for a 3.5 game in Western New York?

Long-time DM is looking to re-ignite a campaign that has been running, on-and-off, since 1980. Current rules set is 3.5. I live in Hilton but am willing to travel. As of now, my available time is Friday evenings, but that is subject to change. Please email or PM if interested. Hope to hear from...

Would a Barbarian/Knight hybrid be too contradictory?

Yep, that about covers it. And I DM'd 1st ed for years. There is no class so hideously, laughably overpowered as the Cavalier. Hell, the designers of Unearthed Arcana even admitted that they didn't playtest it enough before putting it in the rulebook.

    What a devil wants

As usual, Celebrim gets it right. Devils don't like taking chances unless they're forced to by desperation. Faustian bargains are normally their tool of choice for corruption, but by the rules you can't force a creature to sign one by threatening it with death or harm if it doesn't. In the...

    Fort saves on HP loss?

Actually, Shidaku's DM is MORE bloodthirsty, not less. Consider, under his example. You have 40HP, and take 10 points of damage from a blow. You now have to make a Fort save (since you took 1/4 of your health from one attack) or drop down to 0HP, instead of being nice and cozy at 30. This...

Big creatures "moving out" of threatened area

I'm also with delericho on this one. The one square threatened by A that was occupied by B in the first diagram is still occupied by creature B in the second. Thus, no AoO.

The Wandering DM - My Journey Home

Same here. I've been playing D&D since there was D&D, and 3.5 will always be my personal favorite. To each his own, of course.

    D&D 3E/3.5 High-level 3.5e Adventures

"Heart of Hellfire Mountain" is a 20th level 3.5 adventure from Dungeon#140. Brutal, but loads of fun.
