    D&D 3E/3.5 Scout 3.5e to 4e conversion help

the race is Gnoll. I think there is a big difference between the fighter and the ranger class. The fighter is focused on high dmg with one swing, or control of the field. A ranger is focused on movement to control only his position on the field, and damage over several attacks.

    D&D 3E/3.5 Scout 3.5e to 4e conversion help

I know that I won't be able to completely recreate the character, but I would like to see how close I can get. What are the best Tasties from the ranger or rogue class? Given that hit and run is a basic ranger attack, would I be better off going ranger and just stealing the tasties from...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Scout 3.5e to 4e conversion help

Right the two handed sword is the sticking point against going pure ranger. The character has an attachment to the sword and would not stop using for rp reasons. Maybe I need to go ranger and pick up some fighter stuff for the sword? I have a hard time with this as all the ranger powers seem to...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Scout 3.5e to 4e conversion help

In 3.5e I have a character with the following levels Barbarian 1 Fighter 2 Barbarian 3 Fighter 4 Scout 5-10 This maximizes the speed factor, throws in the fighters feats to get some charge and power striking going on, and adds a good boost of HP at the beginning. He went the...

Without infringing on copy write, can you summarize how those rules work?

    Mounted Charge

It actually bugs me less if it was only initiative that we were talking about. What bugs me is the idea of knights slowing down or stopping mid charge because of the system. I guess another alterantive would be to not give ranges to my players. Just say you are somewhere between 100 and 200...

    Mounted Charge

OK, sorry for the bad math Starting distance 600 feet turn 1 both move 200, ending up 200 feet apart turn 2, knight one moves either 100 feet, and gets charged, or moves 200 feet and can't act so no one charges. Either way, this is not the epic crash of mounted warriors, and forces one or both...

    Mounted Charge

The following mechanic bugs me. Two knights charge each other from ~ 300 feet. Knight 1 moves forward 100' Knight 2 moves forward 100' Distance apart 200' Knight 1 moves forward 100' Knight 2 moves forward 100' Distance apart 100' Knight 1 charges knight 2 and does double damage Knight 2...
