Does anyone else think that the College of the Moon Bard's level 6 ability is supposed to be at-will, and not once per long rest? Causing a friend to regain 2d4 hp once per long rest does not seem like enough to be an entire level 6 ability...
Witches have pretty broad representations across many cultures. They can be crafty Ghibli witches or curse-slinging cacklers. I think they'd have a unique mix of primal and arcane spells, and a few unique ones of their own, since their means of learning magic is traditional knowledge, somewhere...
Also important, the skills aren't mutually exclusive. There's some things that either work for; different people solving the same problem with different skills. Using deduction to solve something others use intuition or awareness for, and vice versa.
I always use alignment not as a prescription for PC behavior, but rather as a description. My characters are chaotic because they do chaotic things, not vice versa. That way, alignment is more of a way to track your actions for cosmic purposes, like determining your afterlife destination...
Campaign-wise, I would love to see Spelljammer, Eberron, or Ravenloft.
Setting-wise, if not something entirely new, I'd like for some of the Radiant Citadel worlds to get a full treatment (maybe like the FR campaign book, a deep dive on 5 of them?). Also would love to see the Feywild and...

Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of things I like about Dark Sun, even the original. It's lessons are more relevant now than ever. There's just some edge-lord stuff that I don't need in this day and age
I agree, I don't care if they reboot/retcon Dark Sun. I want something that speaks to our times, not weighed down by 90s baggage
