Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of things I like about Dark Sun, even the original. It's lessons are more relevant now than ever. There's just some edge-lord stuff that I don't need in this day and age
I agree, I don't care if they reboot/retcon Dark Sun. I want something that speaks to our times, not weighed down by 90s baggage
(Of course, new settings would be nice, but hey, what're you gonna do)
Yeah, to echo other people: it was the only setting name-dropped in DMG without a 5e book, and the psionics playtest used a bunch of Dark Sun sounding terms.
Last year (and the year previously), most of 2024's and 2025's books were announced all at once in D&D Directs. Are we getting one this year? When and how? Or do you think they will ditch the Direct and announce them book by book, as done in the past?
I suppose we know Lorwyn and Dark Sun...
