D&D 5E (2024) Ravenloft: The Horrors Within preorder page lists the book's contents

The reason I think Sithicus might be DLC is because the "D&D Encounters: Shadows of Sithicus mini-adventure" is listed as a digital pre-order bonus. But, it could also be additional adventure content for a Domain that is included in the book. I guess we won't know until the table of contents leak.

D&D General World Building (needs opinions/suggestions only)

This is pretty neat. I'd say that Enchantment has other aspects besides control. It can be used to calm people (Calm emotions), or to inspire them (a la Bless or Heroism). And Necromancy is about life, not just death (Revivify, Resurrection, etc.).

Many of those settings are previewed on the page for Beadle and Grimm's product.

D&D General What do you like about Eberron?

I like that Eberron explored the logical result of a world with magic, especially with magic that is as controllable and predictable as Vancian magic--it would eventually be subject to the scientific process.

D&D 5E (2024) Ravenloft: The Horrors Within preorder page lists the book's contents

VGR was most likely their starting point, the way 2014 PHB was the starting point for the 2024 PHB. But anyway, this is just semantics. If you prefer, I could say "Two Domains of Dread which were fully detailed in VGR, the previous Ravenloft product, may not appear in this new Ravenloft product...

D&D 5E (2024) Ravenloft: The Horrors Within preorder page lists the book's contents

So far, it seems that the 5.5 design ethos focuses more on crunch and short adventure content. For instance, the amount of Subclasses, Feats, and other things in the new Faerun and Eberron books were much higher than their predecessors. It seems this book will be the same way--more stat blocks...

D&D 5E (2024) Ravenloft: The Horrors Within preorder page lists the book's contents

There's 17 Domains in Van Richten's, which means that, with the Inclusion of Innsmouth, a couple major Domains are either getting cut, or being moved to the "Other Domains" section. Looking at info on the Beadle and Grimm's website, we can see the following ones confirmed: Barovia Borca Darkon...

D&D 5E (2014) Anyone else think the Bard concept is just silly?

Ancient Greeks respected traveling storytellers. They were the repositories of knowledge and culture, and their ability to recite whole sagas and enrapture and transport an audience were considered magical

Maybe the "Season of Champions" will have a Dark Sun book and a Martial options book, and "Champions" is the word they thought of to tie them together.
