I'm still after some stats for penguins... Please dig out any 2nd ed stats you have. I'm working on a "special project" and it's gonna feature penguins (obviously!)

I have a really random idea that i need help with. Anyone know if there are any third ed stats for penguins yet? If not, can anyone post the 2nd ed stats for me to convert. Reasons shall become apparent (even to me, i hope) eventually. Cheers

I'd say you could bank the feat until you got weapon focus. Stuff like that would be too annoying otherwise...

Which do you think is better? I personally believe the Dragonstar ranger to be far more "rangery" than the PHB one, and I don't feel the loss of his two-weapon fighting abilities is a detriment to the character. In fact, I never really understood why a ranger would be an expert in two-weapon...

Speaking of mithral, is it just me, or is a Mithral Shirt way better than Elven chain? Its lighter, has a better armour check penalty reduction and arcane spell failure figure, and it doesn't cost anywhere near as much. Am i missing something. I don't believe it changes the size of the weapon...

I can't remember seeing any rule against this, but then I haven't read the books that extensively. As long as you meet the pre-reqs for the prestige class, i assume that would be fine. Anyone know of an official ruling on this?

Trouble is, of course, that its only got maps of the Realms as it was in 2nd Ed. The Realms geography has changed a bit for 3rd Ed. Still, for general use its great.
