    Page layout - Mobile Preferences?

Is there a way to configure columns on the home page on mobile? Like a 'List view', '# of columns' setting, or something. The two-column image + text pretty layout on mobile is kinda difficult to go through as it makes everything look a bit 'clickbaity' (not in the good way).

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

I think most of the change Mike is seeing is generational and a consequence of D&D moving away from being part of the counterculture. Critical Role is ten years old now. The fans who came in with it have grown up, gotten jobs, had kids, etc. 10 years is also enough to realize that the rules are...

Henry Cavill's Warhammer 40K Show Is Happening

'Habit of dating teenagers" is pretty extreme way to describe a single relationship with a college student almost a decade ago. It's not the best look, but it seems to be an outlier within what's findable about his relationships online (and, again, occurred almost a decade ago).

D&D (2024) Wizards of the Coast Backtracks on D&D Beyond and 2014 Content

Thanks. I appreciate your validation. I shall continue to do as I have been then, noting when a good point is made based on evidence. And, as in this case, when a bald assertion is made based on a falsehood.

Sure. There's no grade or anything here. The annoyance you are receiving is that you made an argument founded in what would (generously) be described as carelessness. And apparently see no reason to do better. It is a wild thing to see a claim that the quality (hell..the veracity) of an...

D&D (2024) Wizards of the Coast Backtracks on D&D Beyond and 2014 Content

And I'm not sure anyone here said that it did. I certainly didn't. My question was wondering how management views those two chronologically proximate events. Do they see causation there that has impacted their approach to PR issues. You were the one who decided to try and make a quantitative...

D&D (2024) Wizards of the Coast Backtracks on D&D Beyond and 2014 Content

Yeah, one of the great surprises in my professional adult life was the realization that there isn't a necessary correlation between a business being successful, and the competence of the people running it.

On the one hand, sure, probably.. ..On the other hand, completely made up numbers make for a poor argument. Anyone can do that. All you have to do is work backwards from the number you need to get to. And it appears that your number isn't even in the right ballpark. A quick google search...

That may very well be true. I wonder if they feel the same way.

D&D (2024) Wizards of the Coast Backtracks on D&D Beyond and 2014 Content

You may be right. On the other hand, I wonder how they view something like the OGL controversy and the performance of the D&D movie which released a couple months later. If they do see a link (I have no evidence one way or the other) then it's a faux pas that spoiled a multi-year investment...

D&D General D&D Player's Handbook 2024: The Official Advance Review

I mean that would be exactly a leg to stand on. You can argue whether that feeling is well-founded based on an understanding of the scope and impact of the rules changes (I could kinda go either way, personally). But that feeling may be a valid one, and if widely shared, it would be a...

D&D General D&D Player's Handbook 2024: The Official Advance Review

The point you were responding to was that if it this is not supposed to be perceived as a notably different edition, then all the time spent highlighting the differences from the prior book would seem to contradict that message. But, to your point, no, insofar as there as the history of D&D is...

D&D General D&D Player's Handbook 2024: The Official Advance Review

I mean you're also kinda proving the point right. Each year a new phone model comes out, and the emphasis every year is on how much new stuff there is AND... Each year's phone is marketed with a new number to differentiate it from the prior year's model and prevent confusion. Edit: of course...

D&D General D&D Player's Handbook 2024: The Official Advance Review

Enhh..I think there's a little more to it than that just in the scale with which they're marketing it. Multi-Weeklong video release schedules highlighting all the changes they made and TikTok ads with all the new stuff they did, commissioned articles with the behind the scenes on the process...

D&D General D&D Player's Handbook 2024: The Official Advance Review

That's true. Though, with the way they have their Player Character stuff freely available in the various online tools and the way they seem to push the Adventure Paths, I wonder if that mitigates the sting of an early revision/edition, since it's not a "requirement" for folks to re-buy the books.
