Sniping someone from far away feels like a situation that crops up when the story demands it, and I don't think you would have enough time or prep to do an ad hoc sniping set up in response to random encounters or such. When I think of a party sniper, I think of someone using their hidden...
2e Skills and Powers had rules for tracking the bulk of inventory items rather than weight, and I always thought that was a superior system, at the least because it's easier to eyeball an abstract number to represent bulk than guess the weight of items and track that.
That makes sense to me. He’s gotta make his bread and butter, and finding old copies of books about the dalelands are less convenient to get ahold of than buying a pdf online.
Just commented on another thread about this, ignorant that we are just going all in on the Daleland this year. I’ll probably wait for reviews before making a decision about whether I want one or more of these supplements.

I can't even tell you how happy I am with this implementation! Despite the fact that it presents only 5 levels and half the subclasses, I am all for this implementation of psionics. It really is a work of brilliance.
Even better, the Hackmaster 5E product Frandor's Keep presents a sandbox which is based off the Little Keep on the Borderlands, but with the silliness stripped out. Really good and evocative product, but also really mundane in that there are not many magical or supernatural beasties in the area.
