which realm is your game set in?

I also thought "homebrew" was the norm for D&D. I have DMed FRealms (a personal favourite) for many years now, because I like Toril and I just don't have the time to put my heart and soul into a "from scratch" campaign setting. I'll use one that's good (IMO), has LOTS of variety and does the...

Oh, by the way, our group's other DM is DMing a homebrew campaign, in case your biased against FRealms. :-) ---Deron

    [OT] Geek Test

Ha! I died with amusement when I saw this thread! Cool! My friends and I did this test last month and thought this was a GREAT test. My score was... 46.74556% (Super Greek)... lol.. I think "Super" should outrank "Extreme" in the ranking system. Just a slight name change. "Super" seems more...

Questions to Roy and Star: 283 onward

Has the Tumble skill changed at all? Higher DCs perhaps to avoid AoOs? Could you list the "oppostion (forbidden) schools" for each school of magic? I know it's a long list and probably too much work... but could you post the cleric domain grant powers and domain spells. Just additions or...

Where's the save for 'Harm' spell?

IMHO, either of the above would be a balanced "fix." I use the latter, and it works fine. Thanks... I like that one alot. I might use that. Thanks 'ruleslawyer' :) I'm trying to find what WoTC thinks of this. Can anyone direct me to an errata page or FAQ page that mention this. Thanks...

Where's the save for 'Harm' spell?

What do you suggest those do that want to 'fix' the spell? :-)

Where's the save for 'Harm' spell?

Let me clarify... so there is no misunderstanding. The magic resistant of the dragon was reduced with a spell... He didn't 'roll' against anything. :)

Where's the save for 'Harm' spell?

Re: Creeping Doom And I will put in... Creeping Doom is unblanced too. Thanks for reminding me of that one. A DM of mine, mentioned he thinks that's way too powerful also. I think Harm as-is is unbalanced regardless who use it. Player OR DM... :)

Where's the save for 'Harm' spell?

*laugh* But I HAVE been playing Harm 'as-is' for a long while now. I've been playtesting a high-level module for a company I can't mention. ;-) I've also been in high level games where a party of 5 PCs (average level 12) have taken down a Storm Giant (Touch AC 10! and 199 hit points) along with...

Where's the save for 'Harm' spell?

    - >Harm has nver had one. True, but in 2E it was STILL a 6th level spell, when the limit for cleric spells was 7th level. Now there are clerical spells up to 9TH level in 3E. I just can't get over the fact that little 'ol 'death knell' (2nd level) has a save and 'Harm' doesn't! :-(

Where's the save for 'Harm' spell?

But for throughness and for those who DO use it at higher levels, don't you think being able to zap a creature's hit points (save d4), REGARDLESS how many they have without a saving throw, awfully powerful (6th level??? When other spell HIGHER in level that do almost the same thing HAVE...

Where's the save for 'Harm' spell?

Hey Guys! I need your input... Why doesn't 'Harm' (6th level cleric spell from PHB, p.212) have a saving throw? I find it odd that the other 'mega-kill' cleric spells all have saves: Death Knell (2nd level) 'Inflict Wound' spells (various levels) Circle of Doom (5th level) Destruction (7th...
