I'm in complete agreement with you on this. Totally Not A Fighter as presented by @CleverNickName is a genuinely hard choice for me. It's strong enough I would give it serious consideration, where many feats I simply wouldn't consider at all. I get 10 levels to work with, but only 2-3 feats, so...

There's room for both. If you've got a passionate GM who is running an amazing game for free, go for it! If another GM is doing a great job and you feel like chipping in some way (a $20, pizza, a book, etc) that's great too! I don't think any option should be demonized. I wouldn't hold it...

I never had a problem finding people willing to pay. I honestly pay more than that to Patreon to support artists I love every month. The real problem I had was vetting players, because a paid spot brings a lot of expectations, entitlement, and potentially toxic behavior that even a decent...
