While the BG3 minis are on par with past minis, I feel like they are on par with past terrible Uncommon minis from base sets. Few paint steps, and very little detail, and a slapdash coat. Whereas, they are definitely not on par with the other small lot sets they've done over the past few years...

Colonial Marines has content to play a more combat oriented game, less about fighting aliens and more about fighting humans. It lays out more of the universe that the game is set in, the organization of the Colonial Marines, the fighting arm of the UA, plus the militaries of the UPP, the 3WE...

I can say as someone who has tried to run EDH games in the past at medium-sized cons, I was surprised not to get anyone at a table to play at the last con. But calling people names also isn't a good look. 'numpty', 'doofus'. These are names in the last two pages of this thread alone...

I've run the system for friends, played a bit at Cons, and wrote a Kong: Skull Island adventure for a Con last year. Had a blast. Nice pulpy system and classes are distinctive and interesting in flavor and feel. I highly recommend the game. (I'm a filthy 3.5/Pathfinder 1e enjoyer, so YMMV)...

Both this and the 40K episode are great (for their own reasons related to their universes). Loved seeing some faithfulness to DnD class tropes (spells, rituals, monk/paladin abilities, etc). Lets get more of this!
