I started playing D&D around '93, so right when Forgotten Realms was considered the basic setting... I went Dragonlance. ;) I'd go to Games People Play (remember them?) once a week and I seem to remember them having a Greyhawk boxed set that I looked at constantly, but for my little ten year old...
Call me a sucker, but I'd love a 5e Dragonlance setting... I've tried others, but that is my all time favourite. As for the others, I'd love a Greyhawk one, if only because I narrowly missed out on it when I first started playing D&D.
I haven't spent much time with the Rogue subclasses yet... I'll move on to that tonite. One of my players only likes to play stealing, super-selfish characters. edited to remove inappropriate references - Plane Sailing, enworld admin
I've been playing with a core group of the same guys since our freshmen year of college (2001), and before that I played with the same group of friends since 4th grade. Sure, a couple of folks have come or gone over the years, but we were always 2E players until 4E came out and that's when we...
Yeah, I think this is turning into just some extra home-brew work. I don't know if I'll just run "Death is the opposite of life, so..." or actually go through and craft a new domain list. The latter is certainly a better option for flexibility, but if my PCs are only interested in serving...
VERY interesting. I've already written out overall portfolios for my Pantheon and while some of the PHB domains align with that, others don't. I like the idea of each deity having at least two domains for a PC to choose from, so that every cleric in the campaign world isn't cookie-cutter.
One of my Gods is a travel deity (which a Sea God would also have some dominion over) so that's definitely one I'd like to see.
Based off the PHB it seems they're more or less just offering build options for the standard Cleric to heal and maybe do a little bit of damage, rather than a more...
I picked up my copy of the PHB last night and so far have really been enjoying it! I'm doing a home-brew campaign and I created the pantheon myself, so I really wanted to dig into the cleric section and get a look at the different domains... and I was disappointed! Seven domains seems far too...
