Absolutely, which was the point I was making- that core-only, Druids tend to trump wizards at levels < 13th-ish.
My bad on the Shapechange, btw.
As for your character:
Parameters:
1) Um... you have very little damage or killing capabilities. Your best bet is to Alter Self into a...
I should rephrase my last post as: "And I was referencing the game at all levels, where a Druid vastly outstrips a Wizard in Core at lower-mid levels... not everyone plays every game at >17th level after all..."
No shapechange, time stop, or wish is kind of limiting for druids >17th level...
1) Fighters tend to have the lowest saves of any character, even fort saves. Having a good base save =/= having a good save. Clerics have spells like recitation, wizards have spells like heroism, rogues have UMD as a class skill. But I understand the reasoning behind your argument, which...
It's a nice idea, to be sure.
But she can still use item... they just have to be usable by incorporeal creatures.
Like say... a Ghost Touch Weapon with a Wand Chamber (Dungeonscape).
But I do like the monster- that's why I'm being so critical :)
Try reading the class- the special requirement is only to enter the class... you don't actually lose the features of the class by abandoning your pose- only your ability to advance in the class.
There are other effects that do this too... this is just one.
I don't know how much of this has already been suggested, but here goes:
Allowing a Fort save to avoid death vs hp damage makes people with Steadfast Determination nigh-unkillable. Also it makes people with ways to trivialize saving throws (read: casters > level 3) and people who substitute...

This thread details the ways to proof against attacks on creatures like this...
Therefore, one can extrapolate ways to kill it from this thread.
Should we worry about Monks that can UMD a staff with 9th level spells then?
And I was referencing the game at all levels, where a Druid vastly outstrips a Wizard in Core... not everyone plays every game at >17th level after all...
Unfortunately, since this is listed under a (Su) ability, it is suppressed in an AMF, and thus is redundant. The "and just before she dies" clause can never occur in an AMF b/c 1: she's incorporeal (I'll get to that), and 2: the effect of the clause can never activate b/c it's suppressed in an...
There also exists the problem that CR seems to have been determined by the blindfold/dartboard method. See the Allip (MM1), CR 3, which very few 3rd level characters can touch. Also see the Ephemeral Swarm (MM3), CR 5, but capable of wiping entire parties of less than 11th level on its own...
I would love to see this ability at work in an antimagic field. First of all, the ability is Supernatural, so does her true form not become visible in an AMF? Does she stay invisible? How does a Su ability even function in an AMF at all? And, most importantly, how can she possibly die in an...
That's what spells like charm person and dominate person are for. Beguile him, then copy the spell into your Blessed Book for free (only cost is time).
Alternatively, simply kill him and take his spellbook, then copy his spellbook for free.
Alternatively, kill him and raise him with Animate...
Psionics are psi-like abilities as written in the EPH.
Psi-like=Spell-like b/c of default transparency in the EPH
Supernatural Transformation from Savage Species makes any 1 spell-like into supernatural.
All your psionics are now supernatural and ignore spell resistance.
