It also means they revamped the DCC core book to have gender-neutral pronouns, sold DCC shirts supporting MLK Jr Day, and sold shirts with the DCC logo in trans pride colors, all while negotiating with JG. What is going on over there??
Yes, this is exactly how I've been feeling. I've been collecting all their 5e, DCC, and MCC lines in various formats, partly because they've been so much fun to read and daydream about someday running and partly because for me the game seemed like the ideal TTRPG for what I want out of a game...
I ran the first half of Rise of the Runelords over about a year; we decided to end the campaign and start something else partway through book 4. Combats were taking a long time, and my group meets weekly for 2 hour sessions so the prospect of every week's session being a combat or two at most...
I already wished for it over in the 2025 wishlist thread, but I'd love to see them release a new Gamma World. There's enough potential in there for new crunch (mutations, tech artifacts, radiation, new playable species) and fluff (examples of how to build a post-apocalyptic setting and campaign)...
A 5e compatible version of Gamma World -- that would be an insta-buy for me. I'll wish for it, even if I'm not actually holding out hope that it will happen this year. Maybe someday!
I'm pretty sure that a while ago they announced an upcoming campaign involving the Red Wizards (and possibly Venger?). I don't think they've announced anything official beyond that though. If we're wishlisting, I'd love to see a 5e compatible Gamma World re-do!
Agreed! The art is one of my favorite parts of the book. All of the art is done by an artist named Goran Gligovic, so as far as I can tell none of it is AI.
FWIW, Keys from the Golden Vault makes a few references to at least 1 classic Planescape faction, even specifically stating that it operates out of Sigil. So that suggests that we might see a return to the pre-Faction War status quo.
My group has been loving it, even the player who is highly critical of most WotC adventures. We started with Spelljammer Academy (I switched the big bad of Academy to be instead of ) and then picked up with Light of Xaryxis. When they reached the Rock of Bral, I gave them all a giant poster map...
