Humans could figure out to survive there but their current situation is very grim... as they have no allies and and at best they are at an uneasy peace with the Morphs. The climate is still wild but making crops and raising animals is viable, and there's room for civilized societies to thrive...

I was tolf by a local DM that there's a Rcae of naga-likes that instead of having a human top half, they have a feline humanoid top half. Is there such race or the DM was pulling stuff out of the ***?

yes and yes... I am planing to have some system as reference, maybe a percentage based one. and all the races are made of more than one animal (besides human) to sharpen certain roles and features.
