It's just that I find unconscious characters making Reflex saves a bit far fetched. OTOH I cannot find a ruling that supports the theory that someone incable of actions cannot make Reflex saves.

But where does it say that? The helpless condition only states that he is treated as having 0 Dex, which means he's rigid, motionless, etc but in effect it only affects a reflex save as a -5 penalty and evasion ceases to work because of being helpless. And what about the monk's items. Are they...
Hi, the following situation came up last session and I wanted to know how it's resolved by the RAW.
Here's the situation:
Monk runs ahead of the party toward the enemy's throne room and opens the doors. (2 move actions, monk is done acting)
Enemy fighter guards (having delayed until the doors...
Hi,
the spell Streamers is actually easily countered by making a move action which triggers the spell. Then cast whatever spell you want.
What annoys me about this spell is:
a) It is designed in a meta-gaming way. I dislike having spells using ready actions.
b) It's another of those spells...
Frenzied berserker is a stupid prestige class that forces players to attack their fellow friends after you run out of enemies to fight. You gain absurdly high strength bonusses and almost assuredly get the chance to prove to your comrades who's the biggest mf in town. It may be fun the first...
Hi, I have a question regarding Awesome Blow.
When a creature with reach makes an Awesome Blow against a foe in an adjacent square and sends it flying 10 feet away, does this unvoluntary movement trigger attacks of opportunity?
Sounds a bit weird to me that a huge monster walks up to the...
No, the rules just say that you cannot use Combat Expertise not the other feats. You only lose access to a Feat if you lose one or more of the prerequsites. Since you are still considered in possession of the prerequisite Combat Expertise (just unable to use it right now) you can Whirlwind all...
FWIW I wouldn't penalize a raging barbarian for readying a spear against a charge. Rage is not Frenzy and nowhere can any evidence be found that someone in a Rage must attack every round, that's where Frenzy comes into play.

IMC we handle it that way that the players tell the DM whenever they want to see if they are being bluffed. Even if they succeed against the bluff check, they just get the feeling that the NPC isn't telling them the complete truth or that he's hiding something.
If you don't like that approach...
Shure you do get the -2 penalty. After all you get the 50% arcane spell failure chance too and you can be targeted through the tower shield because its your equipment. If it wasn't your equipment you would lose your animated shield rather quickly through damaging spells since it would not be...
It amazes me that there seems to be no right or wrong on the matter. Maybe the sage answered the question somwhere but it didn't make it to the FAQ so far. :(

That's exactly my problem here. I tend to think that it makes more sense when the Monk alone could slip through spaces. OTOH I cannot find any reference that he alone may ddoor. After all the description of dimension door allows for several creatures to be taken along.
