    Thoughts on Bards?

I've played a human bard with a whip, and used it to trip and disarm. Take the feats and get +4 to each of those. Sing/oratory and give yourself and whole party bonuses to attack. While they aren't as straightup powerful as the other classes, they have the advantage of being close to several...

Produce Flames and Cure x Wounds

Beating a dead horse? So how would this work if the caster was carrying shield on the other hand. Could you still cast cure x if the produce flames was still going on, and what effect would it have? Fizzle out? Person both takes and heals damage?

Produce Flames and Cure x Wounds

Well, we have two votes for dismiss the spell, and two votes for allowing both to exist, one for each hand. Anyone else have any ideas about how this would work?

Produce Flames and Cure x Wounds

If a cleric w/ the fire domain or a druid casts Produce Flames, then next round casts a Cure x Wounds, does the person receiving the cure x wounds heal wounds AND take fire damage from the Produce Flames? Can the cleric/druid choose for the Produce Flames not to damage his ally, without...

    Charisma of 1

mumble mumble mumble I like the idea of just mumbling. It happened near the end of the game session, so I played him with a "why bother, it's pointless to try to do anything" attitude and made the other PC's use Diplomacy to convince him to go anywhere. I think I'm going to try the mumbling...

    Charisma of 1

Last night, my Dwarven monk contracted Mummy Rot, and now has a charisma of 1. How would you recommend playing a character with a charisma that low? Miqaxd

The 150+ round combat that took over 5 hours...

We had one a few months back that lasted 50 something rounds, mostly the wizard (me) and the rogue against an Advance Half Fiend Treant, while the cleric, fighter, monk, and druid lounged around, being paralized by a blasphemy. I think the fighter was the first to come around, ...on round 40...

    Tell me about your familiars

I had a Gnome Wizard with a Raven familiar once. Then he got "Feebleminded", and the rest of the party was slain. Needless to say, the thought of a wizard being let around the forest by his familiar who is now 10 times smarter than he is still a joke at our game table.

Whatever happened to all the adventurous heroes?

I'm another player in Q's campaign, and play the Monk. My character heard neither of two the "noises", and didn't find out until most of the people on the boat had waken, and their noise woke him up. He figured that with over 250 people on board, someone may have tripped over something. Boy...

How long do you like your D&D battles to last?

I like the good battles to last a minute or two. The longest battle I've ever been in was 54 rounds, and basically involved the wizard and rogue running around the battlefield for a while trying not to die until the rest of the group unparalyzes. That took about 40 rounds ... just for the...

    Choice feats for bards

I'm currently playing a semi-melee bard in a campaign. I'm using Combat Expertise, Improved Trip, and the whip. It's worked well so far.

So where would a wizard keep his spellbook when he sleeps?

Something came up in a recent game session that started me thinking, where would a wizard store his spellbook at night? What happened was that our group was ambushed by a sorcerer with a fireball during the night. Luckily, my character was awake on watch when this happened, so the spellbook...

Is there a point to the Quick Draw feat?

My wizard has quickdraw, for all those wands, scrolls, rods... he carries. It has been VERY useful so far. It lets me draw an item I need, use it, and then run like heck.
