How does "roll to cast"/SD offer a solution to the "caster - melee disconnect" ? From what I recall reading in SD(24' maybe), a caster gets unlimited spells until you roll a bad number, then you need to rest.. so in theory you could never run out, or cast once and run out? Don't care enough...

Project Sigil, I had thought there was some speculation about an AI integration, and posibly an AI DM.

Another vote for DragonSlayer - especially given the author connection and you have the pdf/?. I got to play DS with Giuseppe, and enjoyed it - but we already have a bunch of OSE books, and didn't need more books, some in our circle own the HC, and i have the pdf. I would find Shadowdark too 5e...

I have a bunch of the physical copies, but yeah I got those off the website a while back.. the high res ones are soo nice.

I think the rules of D&D [any edition] fit better in a fantasy type setting, real Merlin, Conan, LoTR type stuff, the weapons and armor, magic.. artificer and warforge I usually ban from my games, doesn't fit my fantasy themes, now a plancescape world hopping setting, maybe spelljammer i'd use...
