Oh, that's right. The person who gave it to me for xmas said they were out of 5e at the time and that's why he got me the S&W

D&D 5E Lost City of Barakus: Campaign Discussion and Advice

Thanks man....... If they don't end up coming out with a 5e version I highly recommend reading the Swords and Wizardry version instead of the 3.x version. There is far less crunch and so alot easyer to convert to 5e

D&D 5E Lost City of Barakus: Campaign Discussion and Advice

For the next section we go to the dark allies and gutters of the city to highlight a few of the organized criminal factions of the campaign. We begin with the Greentree Bandits. This group of out casts actually live out side the walls of the city in the Penprie Forest. Fernando Quinchino has...

D&D 5E Mundane Items: What do you do for starting gear?

I recently had a quick play through the village of Homlet which starts the players off at LV 1. The DM allowed us only to take the items which were given to us in the PHB via our class and ones we could afford using the gold granted to us by our backgrounds. This lead to us scrounging every...

D&D 5E Lost City of Barakus: Campaign Discussion and Advice

I know, I know I'm sorry. It was just a week and a bit ago I said I would post stuff once a week on Sundays but i got totally distracted last week with reading the desert of desolation series (totally unrelated to this project) that I fell behind. But hey in the mean time we broke 2000 hits...

D&D 5E Lost City of Barakus: Campaign Discussion and Advice

I do not expect the Senate to play much of an active roll in this campaign but feel they add good bit of depth to the city. Until they have gained a fair amount of notoriety the party will not be granted an audience with the Senate. Though like anyone els they are more than welcome to stand in...

I was discussing stuff with Luz and he suggested a 3e monster called a Famine Spirit kinda fit the bill. If nothing else the picture is great I found a 5e conversation curtsey of http://sefotron.blogspot.ca/2015/05/famine-spirit-cr-19-medium-undead.html?m=1 Famine Spirit Medium Undead...

D&D 5E Monster Creation rules: Anyone else not find them particularly helpful.

I like what dave2008 said about the bite and Jester David adds a cool idea with the swallow whole. So combining the two, why not a claw attack which initiates a grapple then in the following round if the grapple still stands, a swallow whole ability. I forget where but it was also suggested...

D&D 5E Lost City of Barakus: Campaign Discussion and Advice

Next up we have the City Guard. Depending on how the party conduct them selves, the City Guard may be an asset or a hindrance. If the party manage to stay out of trouble with the law the Guard may act as a patron faction, granting quests as well as supplying information. If the party prove to be...
