I second Dungeon World, it is the very same D&D experience with a lot less rules for those starting out, plus the idea is thata ction is based on description instead of the usual trend of action being based on rules. You can get an idea for what Dungeo0n World is here: A 16 hp dragon.

Dawnforge is a good setting if you are looking for heroic fantasy in the style of Greek/Roman heroics akin to Odissey, and just like Midnight it is a mine of ideas. I voted Midnight but I know very few of the list, and I am a quite rabid fan of that setting. ;)

Don't be, MM2 has significantly lower solo and elite hps while increasing their abilities when theya re bloodied, this is simply because MM1 solo and elites are too grindy. ;)

Hahaha sure it would. ;) I found that formula here on enworld, a user shared the idea and it shines in the bigger the grind would be the greater the reduction. ;)
