I'm not sure this is really true for PF2.It may be one of the design goals fr the 2nd edition but I don't think they succeded on this one.
Take a look at skills by example : in PF2, what a PC can do with 1 skill depends on proficiency level and skill feats. And in a party of 4 or 5 PC, a GM...
Another drawback of the S&B build in the PF2 playtest was that you only used the worst proficiency between armor and shield to add to your AC, so if you really wanted to increase your AC, it costed you twice the cost ...
It could be very interesting and fun, but I think that you should either do a game for familiars OR animal companions !!
If you mix them, then familiars (who are small, squishy and with few attack options) will suffer in combat, especially if you have large animal companions able to do great...
You can also add :
- Age of Lords
- Dark Sun
- Amethyst
- Aethera
- Ponyfinder
- Rhune
- Shadows Over Vathak
- Kingdoms Of Legend
- Thunderscape
- Porphyra
- Sovereign Stone
- Aruneus
- Shattered Skies
but some may not be well developped.
Usually, mounts come from 2 kinds of things :
- a class feature. Then they don't gain XP and advance at the same speed than the PC
- a cohort from Leadership. Then it gains XP but at a determined rate depending on the XP won by the PC.
You can't put too much spread on ST. If you do, then if you want to challenge a PC with a good ST, you will screw PCs for whom the same ST is bad and who won't have a chance to make it (save for a 20).
People don't like feat chains because they want to have their super-combo-feat right now to...
Possible changes for a Pathfinder 2nd Edition :
- First of all, take the guy writing the Pf FAQ, lock him the deepest dungeon on Earth, throw away the key ...
- reduce the gap between good & bad saves (like in 4th edition)
- MAD for casters : one stat to gain access to spells, another one...
It depends !!
Wizard + sorcerer with Bloodline Arcana => you get twice the same ability so one familiar but your levels stack.
crossblooded sorcerer with Arcana and Serpentine bloddlines => 2 différents abilities, so 2 familiars by RAW.
If A is healed (with HP above 0), he can act at his initiative (so 17).
C can take a move action if he removes the slowed condition during his turn. The same thing applies to D and Staggered.
