I would say that the pally is affected by any effects of being hit by the attack. Simple really.

I like how if you allow all the skills it becomes - "Oh I just pick my best skill all the time regardless" - ergo Skill Challenge system is Bad and if you say a particular skill cannot ever work for this situation (may even be negative) then you are being railroaded and ergo Skill challenge...

I would seriously doubt this is a comprehensive list of Racial feats. Just a smattering of a few to cover the races and style of feats
