I keep going back to the offer of the gold dragon mini from last year. I'm sure some people were very motivated to buy the bundle because of it's inclusion (for the record, not me). Sigil isn't going away for now, but it's usefulness is currently very limited and it looks like future potential...

I've been running Tales from the Yawning Portal nearly every week since May, 2019 with my group. They are in the Hall of the Fire Giant King right now. I've been using the Yawning Portal Campaign Guide from the DM's Guild this whole time to help integrate all of the adventures together...

Definitely worth checking out for anyone interested in giving themselves a host of fantasy options in their library. Rob is an amazing and prolific designer.

If they do this and it's not completely awful, I wonder what the appetite would be to explore other parts of the Realms that have so far been left out of 5E. I'm looking at you, Maztica and Al-Qadim.

Just to speculate, if Alta Fox would have been successful in having WoTC spun off, would this drive to monetize D&D still be handled in such a haphazard fashion? I mean, it's not like WoTC wasn't making a ton before this was all proposed. Why try and kill your golden goose?
