Shadowdale: The Scouring of the Land

Bless you for holding on to your reviews until the site allowed them again :)

An open letter to Randy Buehler

This is what I'm hoping WotC changes their mind about, because people are asking for it right now.

    Rate WotC as a company

    3. Yes, without them we wouldn't have 3.0, 3.5, the SRD and the OGL. But their demeanor towards the customer base and my perception of how they operate internally just doesn't groove well with me. Their products lack that certain something and I always feel like they are holding something...

Pathfinder 1E Rate Paizo as a Company!

    6. In years passed, I would go to Paizo only for classic 1e mods scanned into PDFs. I really had no idea they were primarily the ones responsible for the content in the most recent Dungeon and Dragon mags. Eventually I started to crave good adventure material and looked to WotC for it. Hah...

    Is a Horse Still a 10 by 10 creature?/Should there be facing?

When I was seriously DMing 3.5 for the first time and had a couple Huge centipedes attack the party while they rested, I realized how awkward square bases are. The centipedes should really only take up 15'x5', not 15'x15'! Still, square bases avoid certain difficulties. If you're surrounded...

Holiday Present - The Elf PHB entry

Mmm, that's crunchy. I think after waiting this long for something substantial, I'm failing to see what I do or don't like about the elf at this point.

Is All Still Quiet on the SRD Front?

Thanks for your contribution, Orcus. I don't have enthusiasm for a ruleset if I don't see decent adventure content for it. And I'm not talking content that simply advertises the ruleset. I mean well composed and thought out content with artistic themes and tones guiding the work. When 4e has...

    Announced before Christmas?

If they had waited to announce it, we would have had an extreme dry spot of releases, leaving all of us with wondering what the deal was. Of course, speculation would abound, so I think it was best that they told us. Now, if they could just improve HOW they tell us. ("We know the wizard...

    D&D 4E Positive Aspects of 4E

    - Sped up gameplay Depending on the amount of reduced dice rolling, I may put some back in. - Dice math that "works" in ALL the levels This I am very eager to see. No more fragile level 6- characters and immediate do or die level 14+ fights.

Need items added to the review database

Any update on fixing the reviews system? I'd like to see reviews on some of the newer products that have come out, and I know some reviewers are waiting for the items to be visible to them so they can post their reviews (and errata).

    Will you buy 4th edition?

I'm debating on using the online SRD (assuming it's available) to playtest for a small while before deciding.

Will you buy the preview books?

I'll probably thumb through a copy at the store. I wasn't impressed enough with the Rules Compendium to buy one, and I'm put off paying for a preview with no crunch, especially when it's going to mirror the way WotC has been communicating with us about 4e.

D&D 4E 3 months in and 7 to go - will YOU switch to 4e?

I'll test it out first and see how it feels. If I like it, I'll switch. Otherwise I have plenty of 3.5 adventure material to work with.
