Playing a halfling, want to be more mean than normal. How do I go about this?

Basically yeah. Whatever benefits me the most at the time, but I wouldn't cross my group because in the long run it wouldn't be good for me. I just might go against their wishes or what they think is best, because what's best for them may not be best for me. That might even fall under chaotic...

Playing a halfling, want to be more mean than normal. How do I go about this?

So is it pretty disruptive for the group to all be aligned as good wit the exception of an evil character? I just wanna roll evil or unaligned so I'm not bound by anything, I can just do whatever I want and not worry about moral implications or my diety forsaking me. That's one reason I thought...

Playing a halfling, want to be more mean than normal. How do I go about this?

Ooooh I like the Athasian Halfling idea. I didn't even know they existed :) thanks As for the missing eye, I'll probably not roll with it if there is a chance of a minus to stats. At least not in the beginning of the game, maybe later I will talk to the DM and lose an eye in an important battle...

Playing a halfling, want to be more mean than normal. How do I go about this?

Im rolling neutral so I'm not evil exactly, I just have some mean tendencies. As an example, if it came down to intimidating someone into not saying something or just killing them, I'd opt to kill them so I didn't have to worry about them coming back and causing problems for me later or...

Playing a halfling, want to be more mean than normal. How do I go about this?

I've finally decided on a character and started using a halfling rogue, which works great because I like to steal and plan on causing trouble/being a smartass but I also plan on having a mean streak and even killing when we have the option not to. Should I just have a rough background to explain...

    Rogue/ranger or rogue/warlock

I was thinking along the lines of asking if I didn't have a power for it, like at a low level if he would allow me to ask "if I get a critical on this roll, would you allow it to do regular damage but slow him?" type of question. At least that way it's a give and take kind of thing, but I don't...

    Rogue/ranger or rogue/warlock

I think I'm going to try this build Whoops! Browser Settings Incompatible I'm not sure how well it will work but I'm gonna try it as a human. Also, I noticed when I add up the beginning stats of his character they add to 74, whereas my stats I was planning on using add up to 82. I used the...

    Rogue/ranger or rogue/warlock

Ive played a lot of other MMO and RP games before so I know basic things like flanking and all that good stuff, and I've always played a rogue type class which I've always enjoyed. I dabbled in playing as an archer in other games but I was hoping ranger archer in D&D could be more fun than a...

    Rogue/ranger or rogue/warlock

Yeah I definitely need to read up on stealth because I still don't understand it and the PHB1 doesn't explain it too well. Today I saw an interesting class though, a ranger/cleric. I've also been considering using a ranger as they are high damage and decent survivability, I'm just not sure how...

    Rogue/ranger or rogue/warlock

Why are they weak? I thought being a striker meant being able to dish out a lot of damage. And how do I roll a thief? I've never played before so I'm not familiar with older models of the game. Will I still be effective in combat that way and useful for the team?

    Rogue/ranger or rogue/warlock

Yeah I'm starting at level one. I'm probably just going to stick to being only a rogue. Now I'm stuck on feats now though. I guess I'll have to talk to the DM tomorrow and see what he says.

    Rogue/ranger or rogue/warlock

To me it seems like a good idea to just have a bit of diversity in your character, but I could be totally wrong. I'm very new.

    Rogue/ranger or rogue/warlock

So should I multiclass into something else like a cleric or anything or just strictly rogue?

    Rogue/ranger or rogue/warlock

Im very new to D&D and have bought the basic books but am still struggling to understand it all. I want to roll a brutal scoundrel rogue and multiclass to get better stealth or damage, but I can't decide if a ranger would be better or a warlock. I've heard striker/striker combos aren't that good...
