I'm also interested in seeing a table. I like the idea of -1 for every 10 ft because of it's simplicity.
I'm more of a creature of simplicity when it comes to gaming rather than common sense, blasphemy I know.
I'm seeking some advice on using Spot and Listen in my campaign.
In the players handbook it says to apply a -1 modifier on a spot check for each 10 feet of distance between two groups. However if never states a DC to spot an enemy not trying to hide. I'm thinking DC 5, maybe 10. Feelings...
My initial thought was something like 6-10k a feat. I'm giving each of my players a bonus for writing a short bio before we start this campaign tonight. I was aiming to give each player an item worth about 5 or 6k. For this player in particular I think I'm going to just give him an unslotted...
I want to give my players some virtual feats through magical items and I can't find pricing anywhere I'm looking (books/online). Can anyone help me? How much would you value an item that granted say... Power Attack?
Thanks!
I don't want to give much more away than I already said. All my players know my handle and I'm worried they could be trolling. But basically long ago these rings were built for 'some' reason and constructs were put there as the protectors of the place.
Thanks Orc, I'll be using many of those ideas. It should make what was looking to be a boring bunch of golem encounters into something a little more memorable.
I don't know if this helps, but I'm running a 3.5 campaign with a 7th ability score introduced called luck. Basically a number of times per day equal to your luck mod you can reroll one die before you know the result.
This can be used for stabilization during death. Maybe you could operate fate...
I'm starting a pirate themed aquatic campaign on Monday. One of the adventures I have planned for the party is a set of three mechanical rings (isles) spanning hundreds of miles around. Inhabiting these isles are golems and inevitables.
I'm looking for suggestions as to what types of...
Hahaha! Yes! After I read your Orb ridiculousness I told some of the players about it and they whined about it being broken. However, in this campaign I'm running 9 players 8 of which are homebrews. IMO nothing is broken against homebrew characters.
I will say I knew munchkining was happening when I allowed it. And I made some concessions to allow it. However the player has since changed his mind. He is now going to be a White Dragon...... players...
thanks all for the constructive suggestions. Definitely don't feel like you guys didn't...
Currently as Mettle is ruled, if a fort save is passed, the entire spell is negated. However I think the spirit of the ability is meant more to reduce spells that save for half damage to no damage.
Thanks Again Dandu. If you come up with anymore shenanigans, I'd love to hear them. He will...
Although that is an option, most of the characters in this campaign are homebrewed so the power level is high. Rather than simply saying no, I'd rather have tools to deal with him.
