I transplanted the mook mob rules from 13A into 4e so we used those sometimes. Instead of having 1 hp minions, you have a pack of them that each have a certain number of hit points, say 15, but all damage is done to the mob and for every 15 points you do, you drop one mook and the excess...

Cool thread. I never played SW 1E, though I have a couple of the sourcebooks. It seems to me like the rules are a lot like the Ghostbusters RPG also by WEG, only somewhat more complex.

Unless you comment on a news article, then an avatar shows up. So at some point I uploaded an avatar. I don't remember when, but it shows up when I comment on news, and doesn't show in the forums. Regardless, if this is a bug of any kind, it can be fixed quite easily by donating. :)

My wife got some and used them in our group, and she was the only person. If you use them as the rules specify, they don't seem to break anything or give you any huge advantage over the monsters or anyone else who doesn't use them. They're usually very minor, situational bonuses or freebies...

I remember looking at the original Alternity back in the day and thinking "Wow, this d20 thing would really work for D&D." Then again, the whole 90s are kind of hazy to me now so maybe D&D 3.0 was out already, or was it released in about 2000? My History check is fail today.
