eh I've yet to think I needed defensive feats yet going from 1-10. nimble blade was my first pick because i like to hit. then backstabber or WP rapier i always enjoyed the bonus of quick draw over imp initiative. but my toon used a hand xbow.

at most we run 2 encounters a session/day otherwise we spend the whole night in combat. so we switched it up so you heal your con mod in healing surges a day and don't recover HP unless you spend a healing surge. it works well for us.

Yeah, Epic Destiny aside, from my pov I don’t get all the defensive feats. I also don’t really get all the ranged feats. I understand there are a number of ranged rogue abilities… but meh. It seems like if you’re going to optimize it has to be pretty focused and this doesn’t really have a focus.

Armor of Agathys + Rain of Steel is pretty sexy. throw in some wintertouched and lasting frost and it's a bit broken, just gotta keep them next to you.

I'd say yes, using the rules for sliding as a basis.

i wasn't trying to suggest that hiding behind an ally would give you what is necessary for stealth. just that it doesn't mean you are completely hidden as a number of people seem to think it is. this idea was supported by a response from a csr that was posted on rpg.net or the wizards forums...

Stealth isn't just about hiding. Stealth is also about obfuscating how you are delivering the attack (if you are attacking low or high, thrust or slash, ect), when you are delivering it, and what the attack is (so knowing how to counter it). oh and nice write up ;)
