    White Dwarf Reflections #23

I think this was the first issue I bought. I’m lucky enough to still have my Deities & Demigods first printing but no longer have the magazine.

    Tell your overdue Kickstarter story

I’ve backed 106 Kickstarters and only had two that haven’t delivered. Midgard RPG Miniatures funded in 2013 and was my biggest disappointment. I backed it for approx $75 to get various minis based on Kobold Press’s Midgard setting made under license from KP. I’ve received nothing. The other...

UK Games Expo Attracts 42,000 Attendees Making It World's 3rd Largest Tabletop Convention

I’m not surprised by these figures - the Expo trade halls felt huge this year. Great to see so many RPG companies with a big presence too. I was very pleased to be part of the team that brought D&D Adventures League back to Expo this year for the first time since 2019 and also got to play in...

    White Dwarf Reflections #19

Les Edwards did the stunning cover art for Perdido Street Station, The Scar, and China Mieville’s other books. I had no idea he also did The Ghoul - such a great cover!

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Review Of The Wildsea

Timely review - I bought the Bundle of Holding, largely because of the art but haven’t had a chance to dig into the books much yet. Sounds cool and looks gorgeous.

Pirate Borg -- any of you scurvy dogs have it?

Trapped in the Tropics looks great so far. I’m going to wait for the final version before reading it properly. I’d recommend the Patreon to anyone playing Pirate Borg as you get access to a huge back catalogue of stuff. My campaign is going from strength to strength. We spent seven sessions on...

How the Monsters Have Changed in the 2025 Monster Manual: Arcanaloth

I like Banishing Claw/Soul Tome, but sad it's lost fireball, chain lightning, and finger of death. Might add those back in :)

Pirate Borg -- any of you scurvy dogs have it?

Very fun game of Pirate Borg tonight! Two PCs lost a limb carousing at the start, one took a rubbing of a map on the back of a green sea turtle, zombies climbed up the side of their ship to attack, and the party bought extra cannonballs from Helga the shipwright. Next session they’re heading...

    The Glimmering Valley for Numenera

Hi there, I’m reading this at the moment and really enjoying it. Has anyone here run it? It seems like the perfect introduction to Numenera for new players and a fun sandbox campaign. Cheers

Pirate Borg -- any of you scurvy dogs have it?

We finished Buried in the Bahamas after our 7th session so starting The Curse of Skeleton Point tonight. Really looking forward to it - another great sandbox!

ToV Sell Me on Tales of the Valiant

There are excellent, detailed monster building rules in the GMG.

ToV Sell Me on Tales of the Valiant

Yep, lots of DM advice, useful random tables, variant rules etc plus comprehensive monster design rules (which Kobold Press designers follow when creating monsters for ToV books too). I really like the Game Master’s Guide.
