Guys... are you for real?
I came here because in my game I see a potential party-braking problem I need to react to somehow. In a way that is fun, consistent with character and world, and allows us to play together.
Most of your comments here are not solutions or advice, they are just doubting...
Player to Player I also told her that I spent a lot of time building that reputation and I care about it. I reminded her of the traits of the wizard - noble at first sight, polite, patient, VENGEFUL. (literally have it written like that) The response was she wants to do it anyway, because it...
Great idea! I cant believe I did not think of doing that! Ah wait...
First character. Longest played character. Most detailed and for the game most consequential background I have ever had. Because it was really fun seeing how DM sometimes intentionally put a NPC there that was rude to the...
You and I play very differently. When I play a character, I really try to get into their head, what motivates them, why, how would they react... After 9 months of course I get attached and I care... And that wizard was special to me for other reasons, too.
Well I am sorry if you do not see it...
Rikka66 - too late for that, I can not stop anyone. Also, the whole group is shuffled and suffers from heavy confusion. The wizard being of high standing is exactly the problem, as I doubt common guards would dare stop him. Also, there is no time - the rogue simply went away while my wizard...
Yes, I came here because I believe I could only kill her. That is why I came. To find another solution. That is not a corner, that is a starting point.
The wizard is wise, he already has the poison. He can cast prestidigitation to mask the taste. The body will not be found, and if so, then...
Again, I can see you have not read what I wrote in numerous posts before. Please, do not give advice if you do not bother finding out what is going on.
FrozenNorth thumbs up for you!
Yes, you are correct there again. The history and technology is not consistent between our world and history...
My character does NOT react to every slight with murder. Before you give advice (or judgements, thanks) at least read what I write.
What you wrote
is the same as this ->
WARNING! Guard dog, do not enter
enters
Dog bites
Blame the dog and dog owner.
Amazing answer. And what can I do, that is reasonable (as a response from my PC to the deeds of the rogue) and fun for everyone (me included) and allows us to continue the campaign together?
And do you really think it is my wizard derailing the game and not the unprovoked attack by the rogue? You do realize that even if my wizard does not resort to killing her in vengeance, there is no way (not that I can see) they would ever work together after that?
Why is nobody commenting on...
Well, I did warn the player (both player to player and PC to PC) that there will be retribution and it will not have a happy ending. I was not totally open with the player as I do not want her to have meta-game advantage. (I did not tell her I intend to bribe thugs to kill her. She thinks I will...
Thank you. So you say it is reasonable that the dragon kills after being "insulted" by spit in his eye. Because it is his nature, and DM is not an a--hole for making him do so. So if I have a character, whose core nature is vengeful... (morally bad or good aside, vengeful).
FrozenNorth the D&D...
I do have it clear. You, on the other hand, commented on me - a player, a person - rather than on the game.
You are seeking validation (on this forum) from strangers. You are looking for an excuse to do it (on this forum). You expect people here (on this forum) to justify your playstyle (make...
So I came here, a guy relatively new to D&D and I seek advice to a problem I see coming and try to avoid in order to keep the game fun and running, and I get some BS about insecurities thrown in my face and I get compared to Stalin? WTF ?
You guys need to realize one thing, and that is my...
