The VOIDRUNNER'S CODEX is coming! Explore new worlds, fight oppressive empires, fend off fearsome aliens, and wield deadly psionics with this comprehensive boxed set expansion for 5E and A5E!
Can we skip the book of nine and the codzilla argument and get back to gunslingers having grit that lets them expand powers by spending from a pool that comes back when you crit... and alchemists that can make 8 bombs today, 8 bombs tomorrow, 8 bombs the next day, all without any change to...
That is what I have done for years. I have played Gurps and Rifts(yea not a good example) and word of darkness. I was asked to come back and have missed fantasy gameing.
because I want to play a game the way I want to. The way I want is for classes to make sense, and fighters with encounters...
The problem is, like in my op, when someone else is playing a character they like and it hurts my fun. I don't want to take away your fun, but I don't want to play in 4e with come and get it, or with 3.5 with your war whatever, or in path finder with your alchemist or gunslinger. If I am going...
OP here. This guy got it. Not only where the later 3.5 books way too gamey, but 4e wratchet it up to 11. My group fell apart. Some of the people went to 4e, some pathfinder and some left D&D all togather (that was me). Now the group that agreed with me that Book of 9 swords was anima crap...
I think I am done with pathfinder (we were 2nd level and the alchemist didn't have that magical share power, when I said he should he said he took the ability to make wholes in his bombs so he didn't hit us) I am trying to get my group to try 5th edtion D&D, I kinda like what I read
I was thinking of going back to 3e, or 2e, or maybe even 1e...but when I loged on to ask this I found that wotc is trying again... so I amgoing to try to download 5e from wotc playtest...
I at the very least have gotten used to it.
see that is what made my group leave 4e and go to gurps and WoD
my complaint is that you have to bend over backwards to make it work...Anyone CAN make come and get it make sense, but it takes a lot of work. the problem is that somehow 'because...
I just don't see how Alchemist (and to a lesser extent gunman) don't break peoples suspension of disbelief as much as 4e did... the part that drives me the most nuts is people who agreed with me to leave 4e are acting like I'm crazy for disliking the same type of thing in pathfinder and as far...
what does self buffer and Alchemist have in common? I see the word Alchemist and just assume any potions or elixers he makes would work for anyone... I think it is crazy to make what is really a self buffing sorcerer and call it an alchemist
I haven't posted in a long time, my group went away from D&D when 4e came out. Our
reason was it felt like the game was WAY too different. My best
friend said he would never play in a game with fighter daily's again
because they didn't make since.
So when I was invited to a pathfinder game I...
