A little late on this but I just picked it up and issues with the Level Up sheet aside the Roll20 conversion is, frankly, straight up incomplete. Not only are the maps low res as mentioned, but the tokens are not setup with creature stats (no AC, no Hitpoints), there is no dynamic lighting ...
I just picked up MoH on roll20, and it does not have a compendium. Furthermore, I gotta say, it's not the most impressive. I know that isn't specific to the character sheet, but no dynamic lighting, tokens aren't setup with AC/Hit Points/etc., the kind of basic things I expect when I by an...
Confirmed which kind of defeats the purpose, especially since you also lose access to the compendium so you can't just drag additional things out. Looks like hacking the O5e sheet is still the best option for playing A5e on Roll20 (things like global modifiers for expertise dice, etc.).
So, from a purely mechanical stand point, I love it. So much better than O5e artificer.
I am a little grumpy about it being so completely not appropriate for every campaign setting flavorwise, specifically that the technological aspect makes it not really appropriate to a lot of more...
Hmm. I mean the obvious option is to make picking up a dropped weapon not be an object interaction, but that's more of a core rule thing than a class feature thing, so not really appropriate for a new archetype in a splat book.
Perhaps hit their weapon in such a way it twists or wrenches and...
Add on that with the CR limit on A5e Beastmaster, they probably wanted wolf to remain CR 1/4, so they instead down tuned it to be in line with the new CR math instead of leaving it as is and increasing its CR.
Hmm. The one weird thing I noticed is that disarming flourish is straight up more powerful than an actual disarm, despite the fact they don't even actually drop it. A disarmed weapon can be picked up with your free object interaction, not sure why regaining a firm grip would require more...
All I know is if the wolf has darkvision then the cat had better have it this time around, no, I'm not bitter about O5E not giving cats darkvision as a life long cat human, why do you ask...
Yeah, I'd really like to run a game at some point with the new player rules and options, but I have a feeling most of my groups will not be interested.
So, got several O5e campaigns going right now, and don't want to convert mid stream (or mic 0fe and A5e classes even if they are technically compatible), though I do plan to use the new monsters, journey rules, etc. right away.
Beyond that, the next time I start a campaign will offer to do O5e...
I mean, on the one hand historically that is absolutely true. On the other, the book is Mythological Figures, not Historical Figures, so to me using the mythologized and exaggerated accounts of the chroniclers felt appropriate.
