Holy Symbols: are they God-specific? Can they be altered?

You will also need pliers and possibly some super glue. Or duct tape.

Holy Symbols: are they God-specific? Can they be altered?

For what its worth, here's the solution I have been toying with: Basic Holy Symbols (mundane, +1, +2 etc.) are deity specific. Special Holy Symbols (Symbol of Life, Symbol of Battle, etc.) are actually shaped as glyphs representing the appropriate word in an ancient divine language that...

Square of Origin of a Close Blast

Thanks. I see the part I missed, now. It's a little counter-intuitive that a burst "starts in an origin square", but a blast is "adjacent to" an origin square. The function of the origin square is different for each. :erm:

    Question About Rat Swarm

Rats, however, can stack on each other so as to build a verminesque tower of sorts so that the rat on top may eat your face.

Square of Origin of a Close Blast

All close attacks always include at least one square within your space. In other words one square that you occupy. So, these are what a legal close blast 3 should look like. The black dot is the caster, and the red square is the origin square. The one on the far right is a size Large caster...

    D&D 4E UPDATED 6/20/08! kiznit's 4e Fold-over Character Sheet w/ Cards

Great Sheet! I made a few minor tweaks just to suit my game group and personal preferences, but there is one I would like to share as a suggestion. In the Ability Scores section, you have three columns: Racial Bonus, Base, and Modifier. I don't see much call for keeping track of the Racial Bonus...

    How do wandering merchants survive?

Why is a merchant carrying a sack full of magic items safe to travel through the dangerous wilderness? Because, he's got a sack full of magic items! :D :p

Effect of 4th Edition on DDO

I've got to chime in here as an avid fan of DDO who has been playing since beta. Subscriptions: Turbine (and Codemasters who administer the european game servers) does not publicly release any subscription numbers. The numbers you are looking at are, as stated on the website being quoted, just...

    Healing

I see alot of assumptions that there is no equivalent to the 1st level Cure Light Wounds spell in 4e. I think that's a pretty big assumption and I disagree with it. I see Erais' Healing Word encounter power as being more of an "orison" than a 1st level spell. Remember, its an encounter power...

Sooo, that's my players certain not to be subscribing to DDI...

The "unlock the book" option has been scrapped. Subscribers get 100% access to ALL the rules in the database from every book as it is released whether you own it or not. Non-Subscribers will be able to use any rule while creating a character, but will have the rule text replaced with the book...
