    Western / Oriental Campaign themes

Kung Fu (David Carradine) and Red Sun (Charles Bronson & Toshiro Mifune) are good sources of inspiration too.

Miniatures suggestions for a d20 Modern adventure

1:43 scale cars seem to fit the bill quite nicely (not the same "scale", but they actually "look" right) - corgi, solido, burago, maisto and others do them in this scale and you can often pick the "non-collectable" or slightly damaged ones up on ebay or elswhere quite cheaply.

    D20 Modern Vehicle Miniatures

A lot of wargamers (me included) use Corgi & Solido 1:50 scale miliatary vehicles, which look great alongside 28mm miniatures. Serenity for d20?

That's right - its no point debating it, you either accept it as part of the setting and move on, or you don't play Serenity/Firefly at all and you go back to some other implausible Star Wars/Star Trek/Farscape/Starship Troopers science fiction setting instead.

A killer puzzle that makes me want to pull my hair out.

Puzzles/riddles in rpg's are a pain in the arse. It's not role-playing its problem-solving. It's not even something you can necessarily do very successfully in character and certainly not solo. How on earth was what you went through role-playing? The best solution to this when you generate your...
