They all enjoy getting together. We want to get together more but due to schedules it can't happen.
The theme is they need to travel to the 4 corners of the land racing against a wizard's anti-adventure party who foils them and is their rival at every turn. At the four corner's of the earth...
Maybe more like mid-campaign help.
I am still a new DM and don't have much playing experience. I have four players in the party: two are semi-experienced, one hasn't played beforehand, and the last hasn't played in 20+ years.
We are in the middle of a campaign that I have created. I guess I...
I am curious to hear what other adventurers use for their maps.
chess ex battle maps?
official d&d tiles? Which do you recommend for a starter?
White boards?
Card board cutouts?
I would also like to hear what people use to create world maps, preferably free.
I don't want invest a bunch of...
Sounds like a fun start to an adventure.
Another idea, good 3/4th's to full power with the dragon against the party. See how long they can make it. When a character is about to die, have the dragon go in for the "final blow." This massive attack blows the ship apart and that is when it is...
I don't know why. I agree with you. It is kind of frustrating and underwhelming. I would love to play with a rogue/assassin that throws knives/darts/stars.
It seems like things are always a bit complicated. Thank you for the clarification.
I would like to play the character as my own. I do tend to be a bit of a class clown jokester. I am going to play that way instead of my normal heavy handed fighter.
How have you seen the more successful...
I am starting up a new game with some old friends. I will be playing a character this time around instead of DM'ing. I am really excited and am looking for something new and fun with a bit of a challenge.
I want to play a Bard (yes, this is by choice).
I am leaning towards a virtue...
Right. My group doesn't do anything that harsh. That is just cold and mean spirited. Like I said, it is more for just a little suspense and fun. They hardly ever receive more than 6 damage, which is almost equivalent to them stubbing their big toe.
My group is going to put the finishing touches on The Keep on Shadowfell campaign tomorrow.
What recommendations do you have?
The Keep campaign was supposed to be for 4 level 2 PC's but my group was 6 level 4's and they found some parts to be rather difficult. A couple of them aren't very...
I am fairly new to this still but I thought that most groups did crit fail's on 1's. I am kind of surprised by the results I am getting in this discussion.
My group really likes them. Nothing is super terrible. They all think that it adds a little extra spice and find it really funny...
My group likes a little something extra on a natural one. I think it is because one kid rolls at least 2 a night. It is like really screwing something up.
