D&D (2024) Polymorph temp hp remain

I think this is exactly my stance, I don't care what RAW or RAI is when it comes to running the game at my own table, but I love to debate and understand RAW and RAI. Sometimes it influences how I run sometimes it doesn't since in the end whatever I feel is best for the game is what we will use...

D&D (2024) Polymorph temp hp remain

Amusingly, for polymorph Temp HP I think I agree with you, I think we just have the view that they go away for different reasons. I was honestly, more interested in the argument about concentration, as I read that part way differently. There wasn't much talk about that as it seams to have...

D&D (2024) Polymorph temp hp remain

I assume all here will, but it does not mean I have no interest in how others interpenetrate things, and I enjoy a good debate on something. If it changes or does not change how I or others play isn't really the point. But perhaps that stance is not one you share.

well I mean one could make a new thread, but it seamed to make more sense to continue the conversation here. But if you are uninterested, enjoy all the same

The rules for concentration do not say this. Though I can see where it could be misread as such, you need to look at the full context of concentration. Concentration simply details when the spell ends, not what happens when the spell ends. See my other post if you need more elaborations on this.

Where are you getting that all effects of a spell end when the spell ends? Most spells do indeed work that way and they call out such specifically in the spell so that we know this. But as a general rule where are you getting this from?

D&D (2024) Polymorph temp hp remain

Not sure what you are indicating here, though a older post now. Nothing in the duration of a spell indicates that Temp HP or any other effect of a spell ends. In fact the spells pretty consistently all call out when there effects end. They do this specifically because the general rules for...

D&D (2024) Polymorph temp hp remain

The best argument for Polymorph and true Polymorph is where the Temp HP section is located. Because, it is located in the section that specifically details out effects of the shape shift, and since all other detailed effects of the shape shift end with the shape shift. (though it really should...

D&D (2024) Polymorph temp hp remain

"Duration A spell’s duration is the length of time the spell persists after it is cast. A duration typically takes one of the following forms: Concentration. A duration that requires Concentration follows the Concentration rules (see the rules glossary). Instantaneous. An instantaneous duration...

D&D (2024) Polymorph temp hp remain

There is a gross misreading of the concentration section in this. Please pay extra attention to the bolded parts ""Some spells and other effects require Concentration to remain active, as specified in their descriptions. If the effect’s creator loses Concentration, the effect ends. If the...

D&D (2024) Polymorph temp hp remain

I only read the last few pages, and I am sure I likely missed this in the sea of posts. But I am confused to some of the recent arguments about Temporary HP ending when a spell duration/concentration ect ends. I read a argument based on Concentration ending. but looking to concentration rules...

There is a pirated copy of the ph from screen shots of dnd shorts currently in circulation. Has his name in watermark and you can tell it is screenshot. Likely from the video he took down.

    D&D 5E Epic Level (outline)

bit of necromancy, but having read the entire thread I figured why not comment all the same. . I would alter the saves part, Instead go with something like At level 21, You gain proficiency in two saves of your choice, if you are already proficient in all saves then you instead gain a feat...
