So interestingly, the gem dragons were not as redesigned for 5e24. I love pretty much all of the redesigns, even the blue has found a place for me.
The Topaz dragon just doesn’t look right to me. I wish it did, I wish I liked this weird design, but it looks just as silly as if its head and tail...
Yeah in order to challenge PC’s, the designers have found that it is best for DM’s to boost the enemy numbers. HP, damage, number of attacks. It’s just to even things out and keep things running smooth.
To me, if your biggest issue is the size of a number in a TTRPG, while the game runs well...

It’s funny how out of touch this is. The 2024 D&D art is literally from the same artists as MTG art. All this tells me is that you have an agenda, not an ability to discern art.
