    D&D 5E (2024) A critical analysis of 2024's revised classes

I also find it funny that people here think they didn't do any other kind of testing, polling or even consider self selection in their surveys. Is it really that far fetched that these professionals might have thought of the same things you thought of in 10 minutes?

    Ah, my bad, I misunderstood.

    D&D 5E (2024) A critical analysis of 2024's revised classes

What is your proof that they are self selected? What do you belief? And why do you believe it? I never heard anything about Crawford saying players forgot what they voted, or maybe that’s from before I played. I just shared first-hand experience of Mike Mearls about this, and I see nothing but...

    D&D 5E (2024) A critical analysis of 2024's revised classes

Yeah I don’t know how to deal with this level of pessimism and willful ignorance. Or are you being sarcastic?

Whatever they did, it was probably already better research than any of us did. Who here has done actual surveys to come to their conclusion?

D&D General 2014 vs 2024: Monster HP and Resistances

The 2024 Assassin has been kicking ass in my game. I like a glass cannon every once in a while.

D&D General New Feywild themed D&D Romantasy tie-in announced

Why would that give you a bad feeling? Birthright hasn't been relevant in decades, the Feywild makes sense.

D&D General The Monsters Know What They're Doing ... Are Unsure on 5e24

Yeah that's what I meant? I only meant that maybe in some previous edition they did.

D&D General The Monsters Know What They're Doing ... Are Unsure on 5e24

You'd think that! It's pretty clear they don't build monsters this way. Looking at most other NPC statblocks will tell you this. CR6 mages have 18 HD. HD are no longer connected to class level in any way. CR is no longer connected to class levels in any way. Monsters are not connected to class...

Each member? Not the impression I had. Maybe more like half of them?

D&D General The Monsters Know What They're Doing ... Are Unsure on 5e24

Really? The 2024 monsters have seen significant improvements in power from tier 2 onwards. My experience is that it has never been easier to challenge PC's that now, since we have the 2025 MM.

D&D General The Monsters Know What They're Doing ... Are Unsure on 5e24

Well what happened you can read all about in his post. There's not much more to it. The game's fine and fun, just a little bit different. The 2014 books are still great, but the 2024 ones aren't worse.

D&D General The Monsters Know What They're Doing ... Are Unsure on 5e24

I have seen some of the frustrations Keith has with the revision on some Discords before, and I understand him. I think he's just left behind in another way of playing the game. When I read How To Defend Your Lair by him this summer, I bounced off of it hard. There is nothing in that book that...

D&D General Which species would you like to see being introduced next for 2024 D&D?

The Multiverse version of all the species are just fine. I really do not want to have more updated player options taking up page space when there is nothing wrong with the versions we have. I would rather see species that are unique to certain settings, and hopefully new settings.

Justice Ramin Arman Promoted to Game Design Director of Dungeons & Dragons

Those points aren’t decided by him, so it makes sense he can’t answer non-design questions with certainty. It’s a big company.

    D&D 5E (2024) A critical analysis of 2024's revised classes

Yeah this is getting confusing for me. I wasn’t talking about the lazy stuff. In any case, the OP got upset enough to rename the thread, it seems.

    D&D 5E (2024) A critical analysis of 2024's revised classes

I didn’t dismiss the criticism. OP just doesn’t like that his criticism can be criticized. Like, I can’t even be honest and say “I don’t mind” something. If barbarians would or would not have mastery for ranged weapons, I would have no strong feelings about it. I had never considered it before...
