At the end of the gaming session, everyone votes in different categories : the most valuable player, the workhorse, the funniest player, the most eloquent, etc. And getting one of these awards brings bonus points.
The most mind-boggling thing about is, as far as I'm concerned, is not the popularity of Critical Role, it's that people find the time to watch these things.
