My players want to buy an Inn.

My players always want to play D&D in D&D. I went with it one time, and we ended up playing 4 dimensions of D&D (a game in a game in a game in a game).

My players want to buy an Inn.

Could someone please tell me where to find the DMG II for 3.5 on the internet? After viewing this thread, I really think I could use it. My characters have mused about buying a boat and using it for trade for a bit of profit, and I had to write my own "Merchants Guild Trading system" from...

    Alignment shifting

While this is a good system, I'm not really sure I like it. Perhaps with the exception of carrying very evil items, I don't like the idea of parties dieing because they are just in a place of evil. Alignment shifting and corruption should be more a result of actions the PCs choose to take...

    Alignment shifting

That site is amazing! I will probably use it frequently in my campaigns from now on. Solves my biggest problem in D&D.

    Alignment shifting

That is very good insight! Thank you. My only problem with thtis as a DM is that in D&D evil (or Lawful) deeds can change a player's alignment. Having the PC perform enough 'evil' deeds to get a corruption of 9 seems to me like enough acts to actually change an alignment. I've sort of been...

I looked into FC1, but you are right, there are no such charts.

    Alignment shifting

Thanks a lot for the speedy response! BoED has some information on redemption, but from what I can see it's not much more than what can be inferred from the DMG or PHB. On the other hand, it has a lot more information about being 'good' in the game, so it will probably help all the same.

    Alignment shifting

So I play D&D 3.5 pretty exclusively at this point and I just read the Fiendish Codex II, Tyrants of the Nine Hells and I happened upon two wonderful alignment tools: Corrupt acts and Acts of Obeisance. These outline how to catalog a PC's shift towards Evil and Law respectively. My question is...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Severing limbs in combat - 3.0 & 3.5

I REALLY like this system for the most part. Everything else I have found requires special equipment and a double crit. My only question is that shouldn't there be a bigger penalty for losing a limb (or several)? I mean, if I had a limb hacked off, it would probably effect everything about me...
