    Complete Adventurer (merged)

Guys, take the back-and-forth somewhere else. This thread is big enough. I don't need a couple pages of lengthy, irrelevant rules discussions getting in the way of actual Complete Adventurer information.

So What Did Santa Bring You?

I got a lot of the standard Christmas stuff. By far, though, the best gift was the first ten DVDs in The best of the Dean Martin Variety Show collection. When talking to my mom a few months ago I had mentioned how I had seen an infomercial about it when I was out-of-town on business, and...

    Races of Destiny: First Look

Thanks Silveras and Dark Psion. The prestige classes are probably what will make or break the purchase for me, so it's great to have some information on what they're like. I've got a character that would be perfect for the Outcast Champion. Well, not the "hey, I want to fir in with you aspect"...

    Races of Destiny: First Look

With all due respect guys, the fluff/crunch talk has moved *way* past it pertaining to Races of Destiny, and thusly should be continued somewhere else. I just had to sort through three pages of this thread hoping I'd get some info on what Races of Destiny was like, and instead I got about two...

races of destiny --has D&D 3.5 jumped the shark?

Yeah, hasn't "jumped the shark" kind lost its zing? I mean, can you really gripe about creativity when you're using a (mainly) internet phrase that was cool for about 4 months a couple years ago? I agree that the Illumians are a horrible race, but it's hardly the sign of creativity declining.

What would you like to see in a new game store?

I should be able to give you a slightly different opinion from what you've probably been getting. I *only* play D&D. I have absolutely no knowledge of other games, products, etc. I've never gamed at a gaming store, nor do I tend to spend more than five minutes in one. That being said, here's...

Grappling Warlocks (continued from closed thread)

True. There's a million uses I can think of for Flee the Scene, completely running away just being the one IO pointed out originally. You could DD to a safe place and then blast the creature that is still fighting your major image, etc. And you can use it at will, to boot.

Grappling Warlocks (continued from closed thread)

I think Flee the Scene is incredibly useful. At 10th level, you can make a 50 ft. DD away. Not that great, right? But you also leave behind a major image of yourself right where you were. If you can DD away to somewhere your opponent can't see you (or at least has trouble seeing you, like...
