Trainz:
But is it clear that DR/- stacks with other kinds of DR/- ?
The basic rule is "DR never stacks."
The Armor as DR rules specifically state that DR derived from that rule does stack with other non-bypassable DR (i.e. X/-).
Unless the specific examples have an exception to the basic rule...
Shadow demons in the Book of Vile Darkness are incorporeal but are still subject to a feeblemind spell. This precludes the concept that the spell affects the physical mind of the being as shadow demons have no physical mind, at least not in the normal sense of the word.
Further, feeblmind...
DR does not stack except in the case of Armor as DR from the Unearthed Arcana. AaDR does stack with other non-bypassable DR (barbarian DR, adamantine DR, etc.).
Anyone a fan of Talisman? Man, I love that game. Fun and oh-so-easy to make new stuff for. Characters, magic items, monsters, you name it! It does have a high head-to-head factor though, since it involves a lot of combat and only one player can win.
Yeah, it kind of strikes me as ammusing to hear someone touted as an expert in a scientific field he has no degree in, and is purely theoretical anyway.
So sue the Norwegians. It's their mythology. Drow were originally based on Norwegian myths about evil, dark-skinned elves that lived...
Being a fellow Titans fan, I'm not sure who I would rather play against: the Jets or the Raiders. As of right now I'd say the Raiders, but if its the Jets then it's at home. Hmm, decisions, decisions.
The bulk of them (those standing around) appear to be Polish, as Thorvald pointed out. But the one in the tan Humvee is probably an American. His camo pattern looks different to me and he has an arm band than presumably says "MP". Has the Humvee been exported to any other nations?
Why would I want to go back to 1e/2e? This is the same reason that I am less than giddy at the idea of them getting Greyhawk rights. They'll make it for Hackmaster, which I have no interest in trying. I love Greyhawk, but not enough to abandon 3e.
So far I've worked up two calendars for my own world.
The Davian calender is used throughout Eurida, the central continent. It is comprised of twelve months of thirty days each. Each month has five weeks of six days. There are six universal festival days that are between the months are denote...
The most fun I ever had with wall of force was back in 2e. My party was being attacked by a small horde of quicklings. They were zipping around us in a circle slowly wearing us down. After casting see invisiblity I watched them until a number of them grouped up. *Poof* Wall of force right in the...
Thanks for the info. I haven't liked PayPal since the first time I tried to sign up and it told me my card was in use by another user. It was, sort of. My wife already had an account and when I tried to set mine up it froze both of them. I never heard from them and couldn't get a phone number...
If you choose to concentrate, make it a definitive guide. A good read is amusing, but don't over do it. While a joke here and there is nice, too much just encourages the less mature to give in to their baser humor instincts. It is difficult enough to use sex in the game without it degrading into...
He said there was no need for the PHB because this book has all that you need to play the game. I don't think he meant to imply that it could be used in place of the PHB in a normal game of D&D because it can't. None of the classes are identical to their D&D counterpart.
There is no "Spells per...
