I think I have had it, but I did not know what it was called. I had with spring rolls at a vietnamese place. Thick golden yellow paste like sauce with a pretty good tang? How on earth did this get adapted into Dutch cuisine? Is Dutch food usually spicy?
It sounds like a good spread though. Great party food.
"traditional "dutch food is ussually kinda boring, allthough there are some really nice things in as well ( esp when you are creative) But we dutch adopted indonesian food and various other orental foods, when we had indonesia as a colony (back in the days). Besides many immigrant workers also brougt their food ad such over so there is quite a diversity in foods around here. And I like flavour , so I spice my food. Nothing more terible than a "subtle "flavour
