*ahem* Yeah, after a 5 year hiatus between ADnD and 3.0, I rolled up a fighter. And somewhere along the way decided that BAB added to both attack and damage. Heh. Boy was my face red when my DM pointed out my mistake; he was wondering how my 6th level fighter was doing 1d8+12 damage with a mundane longsword. Oops!
On the topic of how hit points are rolled, my players are allowed to chose to reroll on a lower dice.
Eg, fighter rolls a 4 on a D10. He then chooses to reroll on a D8. Then D6, D4 and D3.
It seems to work for us.
Missed that part... Sorry! I was too afixed to the earlier comment, where the other poster said, that it could change the hp total to a lower one, I think!
For a long time after 3E came out, we though that you needed to roll a concentration check to cast a spell if you took any damage in the previous round.
"Okay, Jozan, you got hit with 4 arrows for a total of 21 points of damage last round. Make a DC 31 concentration check."
Technically you can do this if it is your only movement for the round. You may take a 5 foot step before, during, or after any one of your multiple attacks. 3.0 PHB page 124 under Full Attack. So if the individual had not already moved before beginning the cleaving, then he is still entitled to a 5 foot step under the rules.
I tried to email this to you, but could not get that to work.
Here are two images that are sized just right for your avatar. I am not sure why you chose your avatar as Milhouse, but if it was b/c you didn't have (or didn't want to take the time to make) these images, then here they are!
I just thought you might enjoy having a Meepo avatar, since you are Meepo The Mighty.
